Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is an Hollywood writer and actress who's talent has brought her recognition and critical acclaim. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina, on 3rd December, 1960. She is oldest among three siblings, born to Peter Moore Smith who was the paratrooper. Her mother Anne is a psychotherapist. She's English, Scottish and of mixed descent. Due to her father's job the Moore family often relocated and she had to work hard to make relationships or keep them. Moore began acting in plays as she travelled with her family to Germany. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983, with a B.F.A. Following graduation, Moore relocated to New York where she started her career in off-Broadway theater. Moore's career began at New York with Off-Broadway Theater after graduation. Her screen debut came in 1985 with an episode in the show The Edge of Night. In 1986 she was given the dual roles as Sabrina Hughes, and Frannie Hughes in the As the World Spins. It was this role that gave her the break that brought her to successful career. She was on the show from 1988 to 1990 and was awarded an Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 her first appearance as an actor in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Then, she said it was a low budget film. Short Cuts, both produced by Robert Altman (1993), and 3 Women, also productions by Altman (1997) were among her movies. It was critically acclaimed, and Moore received multiple nominations. Moore was first cast as a lead for the film Safe (1996). The actress' career took a turn after Steven Spielberg cast her to play the lead role in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was the highest grossing film of 1997. In 1999, she received the SAG award for her work in Magnolia. She was in co-starring roles with Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and others for The Hours, which was nominated nine times for Academy Awards. Moore was also in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) as well as a variety of other films. Non-Stop was a show that aired in the year 2014. Moore has been featured in numerous films and television shows. She has starred in a number of TV and film shows. Her latest role was In When You Finish Save the World 2022.
